I had been experiencing years of intensifying pain, lack of mobility, and sleep deprivation due to acute sciatica and meralgia paresthetica and ongoing knee pain from car and bicycle accidents. In 2011, very much against my will, I found myself in the back of a Bikram yoga class. Exhausted and in pain, I struggled with the heat, the postures, dizziness and nausea.
However, even in that very first class, I somehow knew that the 26&2 was to have a profound effect on my life. So I returned the next day. And the next, and the next.
Within three months of regular practise, I had stopped taking medication, my mobility had improved significantly, and I was sleeping through the night for the first time in a year.
In addition to the tremendous physical healing the 26&2 provides me, I also benefit from immeasurable emotional, spiritual and mental growth. I started Vipassana meditation in early 2013 and find that it works in harmony with my yoga practice: each informing and nourishing the other.
I am delighted to be able to share this wonderfully healing practice with others and to assist in facilitating their transformation as I continue to transform alongside them.
I teach a strong, disciplined but compassionate class and aim to provide a safe and encouraging environment where everyone feels supported in their healing and development.
When I’m not being a 26&2 Hot Yoga Evangelist I am a Graphic Designer, Cat Obsessionist, Giggle Enthusiast and Sun Searcher (I know, in England, go figure). I am intrigued by abandoned things and their stories: where have they been; who’s loved them? I find peace and joy in the sky, day or night. The stars brought me back to faith. I have Africa in my blood and London under my skin.
